Google Rolling Out Update For Official Play Music App

Google-Play-Music-All-Access

Google is in the process of rolling out an unexpected update for its official Play Music application, which comes pre-loaded on all Android devices. The upgrade brings a couple of interesting new features, including an “I’m feeling lucky” radio station and a rather useful user interface tweak.

“I’m feeling lucky radio” is a highly-requested addition to the Play Music web and mobile applications. Similar to current competitors, “I’m feeling lucky” suggests music it thinks users will like based on their usage patterns.

Once users have opened the radio channel, they will have the option to share or save the tracks to a custom playlist in their private music library – providing they are All Access customers, of course.

Also bundled into this upgrade is a very useful user interface tweak, which makes it significantly easier to find music that been saved to a user’s device.

Once the update has been installed, users will notice a little “pin” icon located in the lower right-hand corner of selected cards – this indicates that the track has saved to the handsets internal memory.

The full changelog can be seen below:

  • I’m feeling lucky radio gives you music you love at the push of a button.
  • Pin icons added to cards to make it easier to find things you’ve kept on device.

The update is being rolled out in stages and you can see if its ready for your device by clicking the source link below.
