Huawei Launches New Version Of Ascend P6 On The Q.T.
Today, Huawei discreetly released a slightly more powerful version of it’s flagship smartphone of 2013, the Ascend P6. The revamped handset’s design appears to be identical to the original smartphone, though the technical specifications on the Chinese manufacturer’s website suggest that the S version is actually 0.3mm thicker, but things get a little bit more interesting when you start to look at the internals.
The P6 S features a 4.7-inch IPS+ LCD capacitive touchscreen (which we believe works with gloved hands) with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels , the chipset has now been bumped up slightly to a 1.6GHz processor (as opposed to a 1.5GHz), 2GB of RAM, 8GB/16GB of internal storage,an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing shooter, a 2,000 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery and has Dual-SIM capabilities.
The handset ships running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with the latest version of Huawei’s customizable Emotion user interface plastered over the top. Priced at 2,700 Chinese Yuan, approximately $446, the handset is available to purchase from Vmall and comes factory locked to China Unicorn — one of China’s largest mobile networks.
