Samsung Galaxy S5 Spotted In Hands-On Images Ahead Of Announcement [Leak]
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is gearing up for an official unveiling later in the day, but a new leak has already revealed details of the smartphone. This image was allegedly taken from a hands-on video of the device, which has since been taken down for obvious reasons.
The leakster has confirmed that while the Galaxy S5 won’t feature a metal body as many would have hoped, it will feature IP67 certified water and dust resistance much like Sony’s current crop of Xperia flagships. The alleged fingerprint scanner on the home button is also seemingly confirmed with support for swipe functions and authentication.
Further, the smartphone is said to be capable of monitoring a user’s heartbeat with a sensor located on the back. This will be reportedly accompanied by an updated S Health 3.0 application. The smartphone is expected to be unveiled in a few hours from now, so make sure you remain hooked to Cult of Android for more on the latest Samsung flagship.
Previous rumors have the pegged the smartphone to feature a 5.25 inch 1080p display, a 16 megapixel camera and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is also expected to feature a Snapdragon 800 or 801 chipset, 16GB of storage and Android 4.4 KitKat.
