Galaxy Note 10.1 Set To Hit Hong Kong August 16th, Press Release Sheds Some Light On Price
A press release in Hong Kong has shed some light on what kind of pricing we can expect for Samsung’s large-and-in-charge Galaxy Note 10.1. The device is set to be unveiled here in the states on August 15th, but Sammy has already announced its existence and global launch appears to begin August 16th, with Hong Kong first on the list.
According to the press release, the 3G versions of the Galaxy Note 10.1 will be available in Hong Kong starting August 16 and cost HKD 4,998 (around $644). The WiFi version is expected to be made available later in the month, and if the 3G version is priced at around $644, we can expect the WiFi version to be somewhere in the mid to high $500 range.
What do you guys think? Are those prices reasonable for a device such as the Galaxy Note 10.1? Do you plan on picking one up or are you sticking with a more affordable option?
I’m up in the air on this one, the Note 10.1 has productivity written all over it, but I’m still not sure if I’d ever pay above $400 for such a device. I guess I’m a cheapskate.
