After a sea of broken promises, Motorola has finally launched a dedicated site to unlocking its device bootloaders. Okay, so there are only four devices currently supported, but hey, you have to start somewhere. I can’t help but picture the Android community singing in unison to Phil Collins “In the Air Tonight.”

If you head over to https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a, you’ll find instructions on how to unlock the Photon Q 4G LTE along with previously released devices such as the Motorola RAZR developer edition (Europe), the Motorola XOOM (Verizon), and the Motorola XOOM WiFi (Global).

Now, if we can only get carriers on board, it’ll be full speed ahead. Motorola and Verizon have an announcement coming up soon, want to bet that device comes locked? Anyways, good news, good news indeed.
