Is A Star Wars Themed Angry Birds On The Way?
Rovio sent out a tweet today teasing their “next big thing” (who do they think they are… Samsung?). The tweet links to a Tumblr page featuring an animated gif of a Jedi Angry bird holding a lightsaber (the one you see above). Other than the Star Wars reference, there doesn’t seem to be much information. Whatever they have planned, it looks like it will be going down in New York on October 8th, at 10am EST as the only information listed is as follows:
Times Square, New York, October 8th, 10am EST.
HINT: Head to Toys R Us at 8am EST!
I’m not sure if Rovio is teasing a Star Wars themed Angry Birds game; merchandise; movie; or all of the above. How would you feel about an Angry Birds Star Wars game? I’m still undecided. Well, we should hear all about it in a few days, so until then — may the force be with you.
