Android 4.1.2 Being Released To AOSP, Rolling Out To Nexus 7 Devices Now
Jean-Baptiste Queru announced Android 4.1.2 to AOSP today, something he calls a “minor update.” While it may be “minor,” reports of the update hitting the Nexus 7 have confirmed one improvement that I’ve been wishing for since I bought my Nexus 7 — landscape support for the home screen.
Along with landscape support, the Android 4.1.2 update takes care of a few bugs and improves performance and stability. No real specifics have been released yet and it seems like the update has only hit a few random Nexus 7 devices at the moment.
I’m certainly going to be keeping an eye out for the update (which hasn’t hit my Nexus 7 yet) and I’ll update when I get a hold of a changlog.
