Cult Of Android’s 2012 Pumpkin Carving Contest: Win $50 Google Play Credit [Update]
[Update: I’m sad to report our Pumpkin Carving Contest has been cancelled due to lack of participation. We’ll just have to think of something a bit less challenging next time.]
As Halloween approaches, some of us will be ghouling up our houses with spider webs, corpse limbs, and the quintessential carved pumpkin. Since we love Android, and we’re pretty sure you do too, we thought it’d be cool to combine the fun of Halloween pumpkin carving with our affinity for Android. Before I get into details, let me just say this will be all about fun, so don’t worry if you’re not the most skilled pumpkin carver.
Introducing Cult of Android’s first ever pumpkin carving contest! If you’d like to participate, all you need is a pumpkin and your love of Android. Carve anything Android related into your pumpkin and submit a photo of it in the comment section below by midnight (EST) October 30th and you’ll be entered to win $50 in Google Play credit.
You can carve anything from the beloved Bugdroid to your favorite Android version (cupcake, ice cream sandwich, jelly bean, etc.). As long as it’s related to Android, you’re good.
On Halloween day, I’ll pick one lucky carver and award them with $50 in Google Play credit. I’ll also give away $10 Play credit to two random entrants. That’s plenty of credit to help fill up those new 32GB Nexus 7 devices you’ll all be purchasing soon.
You can enter as many carvings as you’d like. The only restriction is your country. If you don’t live in a country that supports Play credit redemption, you’re ineligible to win. Looks like it’s U.S. only — sorry. Other than that, please refrain from trying to pawn off someone’s carving as your own. I’ll be checking all entries against Google images so past carvings will automatically be disqualified.
Now get carving!
