The Jelly Bean touting Galaxy Camera from Samsung is finally making its way to AT&T. Announced back in August, this Samsung smartcamera features both 3G and 4G connectivity (with a data plan) as well as the buttery smooth Android 4.1 operating system. Set to hit shelves this Friday, AT&T will be offering the Galaxy Camera for $499.99 with or without a data plan.

If you’re looking to pick up the Galaxy Camera with a data plan, you’ll have a few options to choose from on AT&T:

• AT&T Mobile Share: $10 to share between 1 GB and 20GB
• AT&T DataConnect 250MB: $15 for 250MB
• AT&T DataConnect 3GB: $30 for 3GB
• AT&T DataConnect 5GB: $50 for 5GB

Now, whether this point-and-shoot hybrid is worth $499 will be something you’ll have to decide for yourself, however, if you find you’re in the market for a Samsung smartphone, AT&T will give you $100 off a second Samsung connected device, including the Galaxy Camera.

I’ve personally abandoned the point-and-shoot thanks to the advances in smartphone camera technology, however, I’m sure there’s still a market out there that would find the Galaxy Camera quite useful.

Users can create and customize albums for photos and video on the device or online in the AT&T Locker website.
