Netflix Now Available In The UK And Ireland
Here’s some good news for our friends across the Atlantic: Netflix is now available in the UK and Ireland. While it’s not a complete European launch, as some would have liked to see, it is a step in the right direction. Starting today, anyone looking to sign up for Netflix in the UK or Ireland, will be able to try it out free for one-month. Afterwards, users will be charged £5.99 or €6.99 to continue their streaming service. Netflix is one of the largest TV and movie streaming service around and allows users to view their favorite shows and movies from a variety of platforms such as: major game consoles, smart TVs, Blu-ray players, tablets, and mobile phones, as well as Mac and PC-based computers.
Netflix for the UK and Ireland will have the same great features as the US and Canada, including social network integration, personalized recommendations, and “Just for Kids.” Netflix will be working hard to bring top TV shows to the Netflix UK and Ireland experience. Upon launch users will be able to watch complete TV programmes such as The Only Way is Essex, Prison Break, and Damages (watch from the pilot episode all the way through the last complete season).
Along with your Netflix service comes the ability to use the Netflix app for Android. With the Android app, users will be able to stream content to their mobile device while on the go — making that train ride a tad less boring. Of course with streaming video comes high data consumption, so make sure you’re staying within your data limits or you may be charged overages (or at the minimum, experience throttling).
If you like what Netflix has to offer and would like to get started with a free trial, head on over to Netflix to sign up now.
