Verizon Wireless has announced on Twitter that it will begin selling the new Samsung Galaxy S4 on its 4G LTE network in May. The carrier hasn’t provided us with a specific date, but it has promised that more details will be available soon.

The date lines up with a leaked Staples document that leaked earlier this week detailing the Galaxy S4’s “tentative launch dates.” According to that, Verizon’s Galaxy S4 will be available from May 30 — exactly a month after it launches on AT&T.

It’s unclear why Verizon customers will be made to wait longer for the device; hopefully that will become clearer when the carrier announces more details soon.
