ASUS Transformer Prime Receives Another OTA Update To Help With GPS Issue
By now you may have heard about the GPS issues plaguing the Transformer Prime. ASUS has been working diligently to improve signal strength and have gone as far as to offer UK owners full refunds if they remain unsatisfied. It seems ASUS is at it again, releasing yet another OTA (over the air) update which focuses on GPS. Update 9.4.2.11 started rolling out today and although we haven’t seen an official changelog yet, it does update the GPS software.
If you own a Transformer Prime you’re going to want to check for the update by going into Settings > About tablet > System firmware update. After you grab the update, give the GPS a test and let us know if you see any improvements. I’m guessing there’s only so far they can go with the software and that’s why they have opted for a new backing in the Transformer Prime TF700, set to hit this June. There you go, grab it while it’s hot.
