WSJ: Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Will Be Unveiled In London On June 20
The Galaxy S 4 Mini will be unveiled at Samsung’s June 20 event in London, according to “a person with knowledge of the matter” who’s been speaking to The Wall Street Journal. It will appear alongside “several” new devices running Android and Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system.
We’ve been talking about the Galaxy S4 Mini since Samsung announced the flagship Galaxy S4 back in March, and we had suspected that it would feature at the June 20 event — especially after it briefly popped up on Samsung’s website over the weekend.
The screenshot above, obtained by RedmondPie, shows off the design of the device, which looks — as you’d expect — like a cross between the Galaxy S III Mini and the Galaxy S4. It has the Mini’s smaller form factor combined with the Galaxy S4’s slightly refreshed look.
The handset’s specifications remain unknown at this point, but recent rumors have suggested it will deliver a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a 960×540 resolution, a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 4G LTE connectivity.
We’re also expecting an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a microSD card slot, and the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
We’ll be following Samsung’s June 20 event at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre and we’ll bring you all of the company’s announcements as they happen. You can also watch it live yourself on YouTube.
