Sony Xperia Z Gets Leaked Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update
Tired of waiting for Sony to release its Android 4.2.2 update for the Xperia Z? Well, now you don’t have to. The update has been leaked and made available to download, allowing those who have an unlocked bootloader to install it manually. However, there are a few caveats.
The update comes from XDA Developers guru “DooMLoRD,” who adapted the firmware from Sony’s developer releases to work with regular production handsets. This means that although it works, it may not be completely stable, and therefore it’s unsuitable for daily drivers.
If your Xperia Z isn’t your daily driver and you want to play around with the latest Android release, however, then you can go ahead and download the ROM now by hitting the source link below. Let us know in the comments if you happen to find anything exciting in this release, or if it has any issues other users should know about.
