Google Chairman Eric Schmidt Already Has The Moto X [Image]

We’ll probably have to wait until the end of August to get the Moto X, but Google chairman Eric Schmidt has gotten his hands on one early. He was photographed using a white model at the annual Allen & Co. business conference in Sun Valley, Idaho, yesterday.

Schmidt used the device to place a call and do other things, and he didn’t seem to mind showing it off in public — despite the fact that it hasn’t even been announced yet. However, the handset is hardly a closely-guarded secret — we’ve already seen it in leaked photos many times in recent weeks.

Schmidt’s Moto X has a black display and a white back — much like the limited edition Nexus 4 that recently sold out, or the original white Galaxy Nexus — but it’s thought that you’ll be able to choose the color of the back panel yourself when you order the device.

As you can see from the picture above, the Moto X is thin at the sides, but thicker in the middle — kind of like the HTC One. It’s expected to offer decent midrange specifications and a competitive price tag, much like Google’s Nexus devices.
