The ‘HTC Zara’ Could Be A New HTC One Variant
Rumors are emerging suggesting that HTC could be looking to introduce another HTC One variant which features a plastic body instead of the standard One’s luxurious aluminium frame.
The name “Zara” has been associated with this plastic bodied device, which first surfaced when HTC hinted that it would be releasing some new handsets during Q3 2013. The two names HTC bandied around were “T6” and “Zara.” The T6 is considered to be the upcoming One Max, a high-end Android smartphone, leaving the name Zara to be connected to the plasticized One.
Rumors indicate that the One Max will feature a 5.9-inch full HD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 3,200 mAh battery and will ship running 4.3 Jelly Bean. Unfortunately, we do not have any alleged specifications for the Zara at this time, but it’s more than likely that the device will feature the same 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 as the HTC One.
HTC introduced a code naming system for its upcoming products a while back in an effort to prevent intentional disclosures of its secret information, which leads us to believe that Zara may be an internal reference name for a completely new device, or an HTC One variant.
