New Samsung Nexus 10 To Launch ‘In The Near Future’
Google unveiled its new Nexus 7 on Wednesday, and it’s set to be accompanied by a second-generation Samsung Nexus 10 “in the near future.” That’s according to The Wall Street Journal’s Amir Efrati, who got chatting to Android chief Sundar Pichai after the press event in San Francisco.
Efrati wrote on Twitter:
Expect to see new 10-inch Nexus 10 Android tablet (made by @Samsung) in the near future, Google’s @sundarpichai tells me
Efrati did not provide any more information on the new slate, but we expect it to receive some of the same improvements Google has made to the new Nexus 7 — such as the introduction of a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, and Adreno 320 graphics.
Google may also increase its RAM, and make improvements to the front- and rear-facing cameras. As for the display, however, we wouldn’t be too surprised if that stays the same; the Nexus 10’s existing 2560×1600 display with 300 pixels-per-inch is already pretty great.
The new Nexus 10 will also come with Android 4.3 pre-installed, of course — that’s something we can be sure of.
