When it comes to small tablets, Google and Apple have been getting all the attention lately with the new Nexus 7 and iPad 5 rumors, but Amazon is preparing a new arsenal of tablets to take them out.

The 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD will have pretty much the same specs except a higher res display (2560 x 1600 vs 1920 x 1200) and it’s getting an 8MP rear-facing camera while the 7-inch model will only come with the front camera.
