The HTC Mini+ Is Official
This morning, HTC officially listed a new device on its international website called the “Mini+” – which is essentially a “phone for your phone,” that enables you to call, text, and take pictures from a separate device that’s paired to your smartphone.
The Mini+ is the second generation HTC Mini companion handset and features a 1.5-inch 4 gray OLED display with a 128×128 resolution. Once connected to your HTC branded smartphone, you can use the handset to make calls, control your TV via the built-in IR blaster, view text messages, take pictures from your phone’s camera, and control PowerPoint presentations using the built-in laser pointer.
At this precise moment in time, the Mini+ is only compatible with the HTC One Mini, HTC Butterfly S, HTC Desire 200 and HTC Desire 500. We presume that the original HTC One is not on the list, as it is still awaiting a software update that hasn’t yet reached all of the countries where it’s currently being sold.
We have no information with regards to its pricing or availability, as of yet, but we imagine it will be available to purchase pretty soon seeing as it’s already listed on HTC’s website.
