We’ve known for some time that LG’s been working on a new Android-powered tablet, and we had a feeling it might get its unveiling at IFA 2013 in Berlin next month. And now that looks increasingly likely after LG began teasing the new G Pad 8.3 on YouTube and the tablet’s first press shot was leaked online.

According to the one-minute video, which you can watch below, the G Pad 8.3 could have a full HD display; a small, thin, and lightweight form factor; and speedy performance. Despite its 8.3-inch display, the device could be pocketable, with the ability to connect to Smart TVs.

Here’s the teaser clip:

And below is the leaked purported G Pad 8.3 press shot that’s been leaked ahead of the tablet’s unveiling. It looks a lot like an iPad mini to me, but with more rounded edges. It’s unclear how big it is, and it’s not easy to tell from this image alone, but it could be smaller than the new Nexus 7 — despite the larger display — because of its thinner bezels.

According to the rumors, the G Pad 8.3 will have a quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, and both front- and rear-facing cameras. We expect to hear more about it from Berlin next week.
