HTC One’s Android 4.3 Update To Arrive In U.S. First Without Sense Update [Rumor]
HTC is said to be preparing its Android 4.3 update for the flagship HTC One, and according to a source familiar with its plans, it’ll land in the United States first. But if you were hoping to see some significant Sense 5 improvements, then you’re going to be disappointed, because it will ship with the same version the HTC One is already running.
@LlabTooFer, a reliable source for information on HTC’s upcoming plans, wrote on Twitter:
About 4.3 update for HTC One. It will have 2 waves, first wave 3.1x.xxx .x builds will be released in US with Sense 5.0 on board
This is great news for U.S. HTC One owners, of course, who are probably used to waiting for updates to make their way around Europe before they land on the other side of the Atlantic. But it’s a shame that HTC won’t be making changes or improvements to Sense 5.
Sense 5.0 is the same user interface that the HTC One shipped with, which suggests the Android 4.3 will be no different on the surface. A number of recent reports claimed the Android 4.3 update for the HTC One would bring Sense 5.5, but if @LlabTooFer is correct — and we have no reason to believe it’s not, based on previous leaks — then that won’t be the case.
Nevertheless, Android 4.3 is something to look forward to, and it may bring other improvements like performance enhancements and better battery life, which is always something to look forward to.
