LG G2 To Get Android 4.4 KitKat Update In December
LG’s new Nexus 5 may launch with Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, but owners of the company’s flagship G2 won’t have to wait too long for the update. According to leaked information from French operator SFR, the G2 will get the release in either November or December.
While this information only applies to the update headed to G2 handsets in France, it’s highly likely that other European units will receive the release around the same time. It’s also worth noting, however, that the date is yet to be made official by LG, so it’s probably best you don’t get your hopes up too much until it is.
If the update does drop later month, or even sometime in December, it won’t be such a bad wait considering KitKat wasn’t announced until just last week. Those with older devices, and smartphones from other manufacturers, are likely to be waiting several months. (I’m looking at you, Sony.)
