Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Headed To MetroPCS
Samsung’s largest Android-powered smartphone, the mammoth 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega, has been available in both Europe and Asia for the past couple of months now, and recently launched in the U.S. on AT&T. And just yesterday, MetroPCS officially announced that it will also start selling the Mega 6.3, starting next Monday, November 25.
The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is a mid-to-high range Android phablet, packing a humongous 6.3-inch 720 LCD display, a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 3,200 mAh removable battery. In terms of software, the handset will ship running the latest build of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean skinned with Samsung’s custom TouchWiz UI.
The Mega 6.3 will be available to purchase on MetroPCS for $399 (not including tax), but new customers will receive an instant rebate of $50, bringing the price down to $349, plus tax.
The network announced that it will only be offering the device in “Nova Black,” but rumors suggest that it will be receiving inventory of the other colors some time in the very near future.
