Samsung Announces Midrange Galaxy Grand 2 With 5.2-Inch 720p Display
Samsung has today unveiled its new midrange Galaxy Grand 2 handset, which boasts a large 5.2-inch 720p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and 1.5GB of RAM. The device comes with Android 4.3 — the latest Jelly Bean release — pre-installed, alongside Samsung’s latest TouchWiz user interface.
The new Galaxy Grand is a big improvement over the original, but as you’d expect with any midrange handset, its internals are far from the latest and greatest. Having said that, it’s certainly not a bad device.
In addition to the specifications mentioned above, you also get an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 2,600mAh battery. There will also a dual-SIM option available for those who like to manage two numbers simultaneously.
And of course, because this is a Samsung device, there’s a whole host of software features under the hood, including S Translator, S Travel, Samsung Hub, Sound & Shot, Multi Window, and Group Play.
The Galaxy Round 2 will be available in white, black, and pink, but there’s no word on pricing or availability just yet.
