Samsung’s Galaxy J, a 5-inch smartphone with a 1080p display that has been exclusive to Japan, is officially coming to Taiwan. The device will be available in red and white from mid-December, but there’s still no word on whether it will be coming to the U.S. or Europe.

The Galaxy J is a high-end smartphone with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. It also has 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 2,600mAh battery.

The Galaxy J ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean pre-installed — along with Samsung’s latest version of TouchWiz — but it should certainly be on Samsung’s list of devices eligible for Android 4.4 KitKat next year.

The Galaxy J is a lot like the flagship Galaxy S4, then — both in looks and specifications — but at the moment it’s only available in Japan and soon Taiwan. Prices will start at TWD$21,900 (around $740) off-contract, or TWD$7,990 (around $270) on contract, SamMobile reports.
