AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II Now Receiving Android 4.3 Update
AT&T has officially announced that its Galaxy Note II variant is the latest in a long line of Samsung devices to receive the much-anticipated Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. As you’d expect, this upgrade brings a mass of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations, however, it also incorporates an updated version of the TouchWiz user interface together with support for the Galaxy Gear.
The Note II was released back in September 2012, and features an impressive 5.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, a Mali-400MP GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 3,100 mAh Li-Ion battery.
The changelog for the update can be seen below:
- Android 4.3 OS upgrade
- Samsung Galaxy Gear compatibility
- Premium Suite Features
- PEN.UP
- Group Play 2.5
- Multi-Window (Note 3 Version)
- Camera – Shot & Sound
- Group Messaging
- Samsung Link (Preload)
- New Easy Mode
- Samsung Apps
- Knox
Like all AT&T’s software updates, this one’s being rolled out in stages, so if it doesn’t reach your handset today, it should do so pretty soon. But if your feeling less than patient at present and simply can’t wait to see if the update is currently available for your device, head into “Settings”, then “About Device” tap on “Check for Updates”, then look for the build number I317UCUBMK6.
