LG G Flex To Reach More Than 20 European Countries This Friday
The LG G Flex will continue its international rollout later this week when it goes on sale in more than 20 countries across Europe.
Consumers in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Austria, and other “major European markets” will be able to get their hands on the flexible smartphone for the first time since it made its debut in Korea last November.
LG said in its press release today that the launch of the G Flex in Europe has been “eagerly anticipated,” and that it will pave the way for rollouts in other parts of the world.
“The introduction of the LG G Flex in Europe demonstrates our confidence in the global marketplace for a curved smartphone,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, LG’s president and CEO. “As a premium smartphone, the G Flex will further establish LG as a brand that offers something unique for every consumer segment. This is a device that is guaranteed to start a conversation wherever it goes.”
There’s no denying that. The G Flex is already famous for its curved POLED (plastic OLED) display that can bend under pressure, as well as its self-healing back that slowly recovers from light scuffs and scratches.
The device also has some pretty impressive internals, including a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization.
LG hasn’t confirmed exactly when the G Flex will be available in European markets — or specifically which markets it’s coming to. But we expect to hear more very soon.
