Samsung Set to Fix Note 3’s Stowaway Bug With Upcoming OTA
Samsung has confirmed that it’s aware of the unwelcome ‘bug’, which jumped on board the latest Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3, that prevents owners from using third-party S-View covers on their smartphones. According to the South Korean company, the source of the software compatibility issue has now been identified, and a software update incorporating a patch for the error will start rolling out shortly.
We have currently identified a software compatibility issue with the Galaxy Note 3 update to Android 4.4 (KitKat) and select 3rd party accessories. A software update will be available shortly. We are committed to offering a diverse and reliable mobile experience for all customers, providing continued support and solutions for any issues that arise with product updates for both Samsung manufactured and third-party accessories, says Samsung in a press release published earlier today.
With regards to specifications, the Note 3 is arguably the best super-sized Android-powered smartphone on the market, which packs a stunning 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, a Snapdragon 800 or Exynos Octa Core processor (market dependant), an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 3,200 mAh battery.
Be sure to check back as we’ll let you know the minute the update begins its journey.
