Alcatel Announces Budget Range One Touch PIXI 7 Tablet For $109
Alcatel has just launched a new budget Android tablet called the One Touch PIXI 7 at the ongoing MWC event in Barcelona. The device is priced at a meager €79 ($109) and is aimed at Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin American markets.
The tablet comes packed with all the standard features one would expect from a budget offering, which includes a 7 inch qHD display, a 1.2 GHz dual core MediaTek chipset, 512MB or 1GB of RAM depending on the region and Android 4.4 KitKat. It comes with only 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded with the help of a microSD card slot. The device doesn’t support 3G or cellular support, so customers will have to settle for Wi-Fi networks.
Other features include 0.3 megapixel cameras on the front and back respectively, an IR port, a 2,840 mAh battery and a bunch of accessories to choose from at the time of purchase. At $109, the PIXI 7 is certainly a decent bargain considering what it brings to the table. The fact that it runs Android 4.4 KitKat is just the icing on the cake.
