Oppo Find 7 To Sport A 50 Megapixel Camera? [Leak]
The Oppo Find 7 handset is breaking cover later this month on the 19th of March. And before it goes official, it’s quite natural for us to stumble across a few leaks to give us a better idea of the device. This new revelation though is a bit interesting and different from others, as it claims the smartphone could feature a massive 50 megapixel camera sensor.
A new image posted on Weibo reveals that it was taken using an ‘Oppo Find 7’ with a resolution of 8160 x 6120 at 4:3 aspect ratio. This roughly translates to 49.9 megapixels, thus making it the largest camera sensor to be used on a smartphone. Details are a bit scarce right now, but the image suggests that the camera has done a solid job of reproducing colors and details quite vividly. We hope to learn more about the device as it breaks cover in Beijing in roughly two weeks from now.
The Find 7 is already known to sport a crisp 5.5 inch 2560 x 1440 (2K) resolution display and the Snapdragon 801 SoC, so the addition of a 50 megapixel camera sensor will certainly make this the handset to beat in terms of hardware.
