Phone, Media And Camera Apps From The Xperia Z2 Ported To Older Xperia Devices
The Sony Xperia Z2 was recently announced by the company with much fanfare and hype. And as with any new device launch, developers were quick to leak out the system dump of the smartphone. This has led to several core applications from the new flagship leaking out. These apps can now be ported onto existing Xperia devices, including the most recently launched models. XDA developers have managed to uncover the Media, Phone and Camera apps from the Xperia Z2.
The Media apps include Walkman player and the Movies application, while the Phone app comes with the Answering Machine feature. The Camera app however comes with plenty of features like AR Effect 2.0.4, Background Defocus 1.1.2 and Creative Effects.
Interested users of the Xperia Z, Z Ultra or the Z1 can get these applications on their devices right now. Root access is reportedly necessary at the moment, so make sure you have that sorted before flashing these apps.
