Google devices are always in the rumors, regardless of what time of the year it is. Similarly, the Google smartwatch has been rumored for quite a while now, but very little is known about it. A new rumor however claims that this wearable could be made by LG. It has been rumored that the company is working on its own smartwatch soon, so maybe that will be used as a reference design for Google’s version, much like the Nexus smartphones usually are.

The rumor also claims that LG has been reassigned to produce the Nexus smartphone of the year for the third year in a row. Although some reports have indicated that Google is looking to end the Nexus program, that doesn’t seem to be the case according to this rumor. The Korean manufacturer has been shot into the limelight with the launch of the two Nexus devices, so it’s only logical for Google to give them a third go.

It is said that the Nexus 6 will be based off the LG G3 which is rumored to arrive in May or June this year. A LG made Nexus 6 accompanied by a smartwatch could be the highlights of the year for Google and the entire Android industry. However, since this is merely a rumor at this point, we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt.
