Darkseid Threatens All As Exclusive Character For Superhero Hit Injustice
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have just disclosed that mobile superhero fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us has gotten a big bad exclusively to the Android and iOS versions of the game: Darkseid.
To celebrate, the game will have a special challenge event taking place in game, giving you a chance to compete in battles that will reward you with an exclusive Gold character card. The challenge will run from March 6 through the 24th.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is a gorgeous free-to-play game that gets you pounding on other superheroes and villains in a 3-on-3 tag team combat format that lets you play as–and fight–some of the biggest DC characters ever, like Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, and Aquaman. There’s a whole collectible card vibe, too, as you can purchase booster packs for new abilities and heroes to level up.
Darkseid was originally designed by Jack Kirby for an issue of Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen back in 1970, but has grown to become a central antagonist in the Superman books as well as in the larger DC Universe like The New 52 and Final Crisis storylines.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is also available for the PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, and was developed for iPad and iPhone by NetherRealm Studios, Android by Virtuous. The game has pulled in two billion play sessions and continues to rank at 4.5 stars on the iTunes app store.
If you haven’t given this title a chance, yet, now may be a great time to play one of the best-looking games in the mobile space.
