Twitter Beta Update Now Allows Users To Take Action On Incoming Tweets From The Notification Tray

Tablet-Twitter-app

Twitter has officially rolled out the latest version of its Twitter application to all registered Android beta testers via the Play Store. Version 5.2 comes in the form of a rather hefty update and brings with it the ability to take action on incoming tweets directly from the notification panel; enabling users to reply, retweet and favourite posts.

The development team behind Twitter also appear to be eliminating the ‘quote tweet’s option, by moving it to a very discreet section of the application. Now if users wish to quote a retweet they will have to click the tweet, tap on the integrated ‘Share’ button and choose ‘Quote Tweet’ from the extremely long list of third-party sharing option that unfold.

As you’d expect, the upgrade also brings a multitude of bug fixes, speed optimizations and stability improvements, but unfortunately, Twitter failed to provide us with a detailed changelog , so for now we’re in the dark with regards to what these fixes actually solve.
