The Google Search app on Android has just received an update with some new features in tow. Users can now get improved information on sports teams including cricket and better support for cards relating to stocks. Other changes include better image search which now includes a ‘View in Browser’ option in addition to ‘Share’ and ‘Visit Page’.

A week ago, users reported seeing cricket teams making their way to the sports list on Google Now, so it was only a matter of time before Google officially brought support for cards as well. The update also includes a separate toggle for hot word detection within the settings, thus making it easier to switch whenever necessary. As with any app update, this will roll out in phases and should reach all compatible devices within the next couple of days.
