Seven months after launching in the U.S., the unlocked variant of Motorola’s current flagship smartphone, the Moto X, is now available in India as from today, Wednesday, March 19. According to Motorola’s VP of Product, Punit Soni, potential customers will be able to purchase the handset in either black or white for exactly ₹23,999 Indian Rupees — which roughly equates to $390.

The Moto X was released back in August 2013, and sports a gorgeous 4.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280, a beefy 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32Gb of internal storage, a 10-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2,200 mAh battery.

The handset will ship running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean straight out of the box, but is upgradable to the latest build of 4.4.2 KitKat via a simple over-the-air update. Just insert your SIM card, power on the handset, connect to a Wi-Fi network and you will instantly be prompted to download and install the hefty 400MB upgrade.
