2013 Google Play Edition HTC One Gets A $100 Discount
The new HTC One (M8) was also announced in a Google Play Edition variant yesterday carrying a price tag of $700. And to accommodate for the new entry, Google has decided to slash prices of the Google Play Edition HTC One from last year.
The GPE 2013 HTC One has received a $100 cut bringing down the price to $499. However, the pricing still doesn’t make it any cheaper compared to competitive offerings like the LG Nexus 5 which features a far better hardware and costs $100 lesser.
But if you’re a fan of HTC’s design language and want to get a stock Android device sans the custom UI layering, you can head over to the Play Store and make this yours right away. Google promises shipping/dispatch time of 1-2 days, which is standard for any device.
To refresh your memory a little, the 2013 HTC One features a 4.7 inch 1080 display, a quad core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Since this is a GPE device, users can be assured of being among the first to receive the latest Android updates as soon as they’re released.
