Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom Snapped In The Wild [Rumor]
Last year, Samsung released its first ever camera-phone hybrid, the Galaxy S4 Zoom, and it’s pretty safe to say that it didn’t do quite as well as the South Korean company would have hoped. It was extremely thick, slow, heavy and bulky, which resulted in very poor sales. But now it looks like Samsung has taken all the negative feedback onboard and is now ready to give it another shot with its new yet-to-be announced ‘Galaxy S5 Zoom’.
Yesterday an anonymous source submitted a picture to SamMobile, which reportedly shows the upcoming Galaxy S5 Zoom in all its glory. As you can see from the image above, the handset continues to feature the monstrous 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and 10x optical zoom, which its predecessor featured, though, this latest model appears to be significantly thinner and more rounded, which comes as nothing but good news.
Recent leaks, rumors and speculation suggests that the hybrid will feature a 4.8-inch qHD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 2GB of RAM, an Exynos 5 Hexa processor, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and an ARM Mali-T624 GPU when it’s unveiled later this year. In addition, the S5 Zoom is also expected to ship running the latest build of Android 4.4.2 KitKat skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
