Samsung’s new Galaxy Gear lineup is already compatible with a whole bunch of existing devices, the South Korean company revealed this week. Including the new Galaxy S5, 12 smartphones and 8 tablets work with the new wearables right out of the box.

That means you won’t necessarily have to buy a new Samsung smartphone or tablet if you want a new Galaxy Gear. But you will need one of 20 Samsung devices, at least. Here are those currently supported:

Smartphones

  • Galaxy S5
  • Galaxy Note 3 Neo
  • Galaxy Note 3
  • Galaxy Note II
  • Galaxy Grand 2
  • Galaxy S4
  • Galaxy S4 mini
  • Galaxy S4 Active
  • Galaxy S4 Zoom
  • Galaxy S3
  • Galaxy Mega 5.8
  • Galaxy Mega 6.3

Tablets

  • Galaxy Tab 4 10.1
  • Galaxy Tab 4 8.0
  • Galaxy Tab 4 7.0
  • Galaxy TabPRO 12.2
  • Galaxy TabPRO 10.1
  • Galaxy TabPRO 8.4
  • Galaxy NotePRO 12.2
  • Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition

If your device isn’t on this list, there’s a chance it will be added later on — though you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up. Samsung has supported two fairly old devices in the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note II, but these were hugely successful handsets that racked up millions of sales worldwide.

Older devices that weren’t so successful, or those that aren’t considered flagship or high-end, are unlikely to get Gear support at this point.
