To commemorate the launch of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, HTC has teamed up with the folks over at Marvel to create an ultra-rare S.H.I.E.L.D. Edition of its flagship smartphone of 2014 — if you’re a Captain America fan, then this is definitely the smartphone for you.

Apart from the spherical shield engraved on the rear of the device, this is the exact same One M8 that HTC unveiled back in March, sporting a 5-inch super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, an Adreno 330 GPU and a 2,600 mAh non-removable battery.

In order to get your hands on one of these limited edition smartphones, you’ll have to enter HTC’s ‘Super Selfies’ competition. To do this, either take a Captain America-inspired selfie and upload it with the #superselfie hashtag to Twitter. Or alternatively, you can post your submission on the official Super Selfie Facebook page. 

HTC has uploaded a handful of unique Captain America wallpapers to its website specifically designed for the HTC One M8, so you won’t have to crop them to the correct resolution. We’ve included all of these wallpapers in a gallery below.

To apply the wallpaper from your smartphone: click on a photo from the gallery above and it will open in a new window. Tap on the image until a window pops up and select ‘Save image’. This will add the image to your Gallery app. Open your Gallery app, find your image, open, select ‘Set as’ > ‘Wallpaper’.
