Clove Technology has today announced that it will be selling both variants of the QuickCircle case for LG’s flagship smartphone of 2014, starting Monday, July 21. According to the independent smartphone retailer, the official accessory will be sold as an add-on to the handset and will be available in three different colorways — Metallic Black, Silk White and Champagne Gold.

As there are two versions of the case being sold, there are two different prices. The first model simply snaps onto the back of the G3 and will retail for £24.99 ($42), whilst the other variant completely replaces the handset’s entire backplate and will be priced at £29.99 ($51). They’re not cheap by any means, but both enable you to check the time, place calls and send text messages without having to unlock your phone.

‘Initial reports suggest that the ‘snap-on’ case will not cater for the built-in wireless charging capabilities in the G3. The ‘replacement-cover’  however should have pin contacts so it can still be used with Qi wireless charging plates such as LG’s WCD-100,’ writes Clove in an official press statement published on its website earlier today. So rest assured, at least one model of the QuickCirlce case will support wireless charging.

You may be wondering about the pink and green/mint color options which were rumored too. Well, Clove stated that they are hoping to obtain stock of these variants shortly after launch of the traditional colors, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
