Nova Launcher update brings Android L launcher goodies to all Android devices
Nova Launcher, one of the most popular launchers on the Play Store, has received a hefty update today bringing many of the new goodies introduced by Google in Android L to all other Android devices.
The first beta of v3.0.2 also brings support for Android L, in case you are already running the preview version of Android on your Nexus device.
Right now, the update is only available to all Nova Launchers users who are a part of its community on Google+ and have joined the beta testing program. The full change-log of the update as posted by developer Kevin Barry is below:
-“L” Folder Preview (Nova Settings – Folder – Folder Preview – Line)
-“L” App Drawer Icon (Long-press app drawer – Edit – Tap Icon – All white icon under “Built-in”)
-“L” App Animation (Nova Settings – Look and Feel – App Animation – Slide Up)
-Minor tuning for running on Android L Dev Preview
-Optimizations and bug fixes
If you are eager to join the beta program, join this Google+ community followed by this beta program and then head over to the Play Store to download it. Alternatively, you can also directly download the APK of the beta from here, though you will not be getting automatic updates to further beta releases then.
The beta update does not bring the visual look, feel and icons of Android L. Knowing the developer though, it is just a matter of a few more beta updates before Nova Launcher will include all these goodies.
