Two new Xperia Z3 images surface showcasing new angles
It certainly looks like Sony is having difficulty keeping its upcoming flagship smartphone of 2014 under wraps. So far its appeared in a handful of leaked press renders, been the subject of an alleged specification sheet, passed through the Federal Communications Commission not once, but twice, and earlier today starred in two new images ostensibly revealing one of the handset’s sides and its back panel.
As you can see in the pictures above the Z3 incorporates a wealth of function keys on the right-hand side of the device — just like the Z2. At the bottom there’s a dedicated camera button, followed by a chrome-plated power button, then a matte black volume rocker and last, but not least, at the top it looks as if there’s a SIM and microSD slot enclosed in Sony’s IP58-certified waterproof casing.
Recent leaks suggest that the unit will sport a 5.15-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, IP58 certified dust and water protection, a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD) and a Snapdragon 801 chipset with four cores clocked at 2.4GHz.
