Amazon has reduced its Fire TV to $84 for a limited time. The $15 saving celebrates “a boatload of new apps” now available on the Fire TV platform, such as Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Flappy Birds Family, which is currently a Fire TV exclusive.

Fire TV is the set-top box built with gamers in mind. It offers the usual array of video streaming services — such as Netflix, HuluPlus, and of course, Amazon Instant Video — as well as a growing catalog of games (300+) that can be played with either the Fire TV remote, or the Fire Game Controller.

Fire TV is more powerful than competing set-top boxes like the Apple TV and the Roku 3, packing a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM — and it’s the only one that offers voice search, allowing you to find what you want to watch without typing a single later.
