ASUS teases its first smartwatch ahead of IFA reveal
Just a few days ago a report appeared online revealing that Jerry Shen, CEO of ASUS, had officially informed investors of the Taiwanese company’s plans to unveil its first ever smartwatch at the IFA consumer conference on September 3 in Berlin.
Today ASUS released its first teaser on Google+, illustrating a silhouette of a smartwatch with the quote ‘Time has been transformed and we have changed,” by Lebanese Poet, Khalil Gibran, and a caption to the left saying “something incredible is going to happen at IFA this year.”
Unfortunately, we don’t know too much about this smartwatch, other than its likely to ship with Google’s recently-released Android Wear operating system on board. Several rumors suggest that the device is set to be the cheapest smartwatch on the market.
Would you be interested in ASUS’ offering if it was as good as the G Watch and Gear Live in terms of aesthetics and performance, but cheaper? Be sure to let us know in the comments section below.
