A couple of months ago, Google gave the Play Store app for Android a partial Material touch. With the impending release of Android L, the company is now working on giving the Play Store app a full Material Design makeover, if the latest screenshots from Android Police are to be believed.

The upcoming update to the Play Store (v5.0) will add a dash of bright colors to the action/title bar, bring in some subtle new animations and more. Check out the comparison screenshot below to see the changes for yourself.

However, the most interesting tidbit that the Android Police team found out from digging deep into this Play Store 5.0 APK was the presence of some strings, which suggests that Google is working on a per-device restoration capabilities. Apparently, Google will provide users with the option to restore a specific device profile and then filter it down to apps that they want to restore on their new Android device.

It is more than likely that we will see Google unveil the new Play Store along with the new backup and restore features when it releases Android L sometime within the next couple of months.
