This app makes it incredibly easy to install Android apps on your Wear watch
Given that Android Wear watches are essentially just tiny Android devices, they’re capable of running regular Android apps. But side-loading them can be a tricky process if you’re not familiar with ADB. Fortunately, there’s now a tool that makes the whole process super simple for all.
It’s aptly named Android Wear Tools, and it has a graphical user interface that negates the need to enter commands manually into Command Prompt or Terminal. All you need to do is provide it with a non-protected APK (one that was free) from your computer and hit the install button.
Android Wear Tools is a free download for Mac, Windows, and Linux, and setup takes just a minute. You’ll find step-by-step installation instructions along with the download you need in the original XDA Developers thread.
And if you’re wondering what to install first, check out these videos that show Android Wear devices playing Game Boy Color and PlayStation games, Minecraft, and even Windows 95.
Have fun installing Android apps on your watch!
