Apple Music for Android now allows saving songs to SD card
Apple today updated the official Apple Music app for Android to add support for saving offline music to SD card on Android devices.
Unlike iOS devices, majority of Android devices still come with a microSD card slot that makes it possible to expand the storage of the handset for cheap. While external storage can be slower in certain conditions, it ends up being a great way to lug around your entire music library, photos, videos and more on your phone.
The inclusion of this feature also means that Android devices with a microSD card slot can now store more music from Apple Music for offline playback than iOS devices, whose maximum storage capacity is limited to 128GB for now.
Additionally, the update also adds the full schedule of Beats 1 to the app, and now lets you browse music by composers and compilations. These features were previously only found in the iOS version of the app.
Despite the addition of these new features, the Apple Music app for Android continues to carry a beta tag.
