Galaxy S7 edge looks downright beautiful
Samsung has failed in its mission to keep the Galaxy S7 series a secret ahead of its official unveiling, and the leaks keep coming. The latest press render for the Galaxy S7 edge confirms it will be even prettier than its predecessor.
Last year’s Samsung Galaxy lineup was by far its most beautiful to date, with high-end designs made of shiny glass and sturdy aluminum. The Galaxy S7 series is no different — why change a winning formula? — but it is even more attractive.
The render above for the Galaxy S7 edge, which was published by the ever-reliable Evan Blass (@evleaks), looks like a Galaxy S6 edge with more rounded aluminum sides that should be more comfortable to hold, a larger home button, and a larger front-facing camera sensor.
The larger home button should mean a larger fingerprint scanner for even greater accuracy. Samsung’s scanners were a big improvement last year — they were terrible before that — but there was still room for improvement. Hopefully the Galaxy S7 brings that.
The larger front-facing camera sensor will, of course, deliver better selfie photos.
Samsung will announce the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge at an Unpacked event on February 21 at Mobile World Congress. They’re expected to go on sale in the U.S. and Europe on March 11.
