Google Play Music turns purple in tribute to Prince
Google has given its Play Music web app a purple makeover in tribute to Prince, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 57.
Google also honored the beloved pop star with the Purple Rain Google doodle above.
Play Music’s title bar has turned a solid purple today, and so have various buttons and accents throughout the web app. Prince’s music isn’t available for streaming on Play Music — or any other service, in fact — but you can purchase his catalog through the Play Store.
Prince released 39 studio albums throughout his incredibly successful career, and sold over 100 million records worldwide, which makes him one of the best-selling artists of all time. He also picked up seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award.
